Japan Product Development · For travel companies
Build Japan products your clients can actually book.
For travel companies developing new Japan itineraries before they have a live client request. We design the model itinerary, the routing and the cost positioning from the ground in Japan, so your sales team can sell a product that works on the ground.
Project-based pricing · from ¥88,000 per model itinerary

What Camino can help with
The decisions that make or break a Japan product
We work from the ground: routes the founder has guided personally, hotels we have checked in to, and transfers we have timed on foot. The advice is operational, not brochure copy.
Itinerary architecture
Day-by-day structure, pacing and the balance between classics and quieter alternatives.
Routing
Which order, which rail and road connections, and where a night saved is a day lost.
Accommodation strategy
Hotel and ryokan categories per stop, room-type realities and where inventory is tight.
Transport strategy
Rail versus private vehicle by segment, luggage forwarding and guide handovers.
Experiences and guiding
What to include, what to keep optional, and how much licensed guiding the product needs.
Operational feasibility
Whether the product can run as designed in peak weeks, with real lead times and group sizes.
Seasonality
Cherry blossom, autumn colour, Golden Week and Obon: when to sell, when to avoid, when to confirm.
Indicative cost positioning
Approximate NET cost ranges per category and a framework for your selling price.
Deliverables
What you receive
Depending on the scope of the project:
- A model itinerary of typically 10 to 14 days, day by day
- Operational notes per stop: timings, connections, risks
- An accommodation framework by category and location
- Preliminary NET cost ranges and a suggested selling-price framework
- Supplier and service recommendations within our coverage
- A sales-ready product structure your team can present
How it works
From brief to sellable product
-
Tell us what you are building
Market, target client, trip length, price positioning and any constraints. A rough brief is enough.
-
We propose a scope and a fee
Within 24 hours you receive a short scope note, a fixed fee and a timeline. No work starts before you agree.
-
Design on the ground
We build the model itinerary, routing and cost positioning, with one round of revisions included.
-
Hand-over and next steps
You receive the deliverables in English or Spanish. Operating the product with Camino is possible, never required.
Pricing
Product development is project-based. A single model itinerary with routing, accommodation framework and cost positioning starts from ¥88,000. Multi-product or market-specific projects are quoted after a short call.
If you later operate the product with Camino, the fee is credited against the first confirmed file.
